Description
Danesi Caffé's Ruanda has a full body with fruity notes of lemon and vanilla. It is complemented by a fine note of caramel. The smooth taste and creamy crema give a great texture.
The beans of the Arabica variety Arabica Red Bourbon were grown at an altitude of 1,800- 2,000 meters on fertile volcanic soil. The coffee beans were picked by hand and then washed. They were dried in raised african beds directly under the sun.

In Rwanda, Danesi partnered up with a cooperative of small growers where they source a very distinctive coffee produced with zero impact on the environment and of superior quality. What inspired them to make this choice is the role attributed to the women within the cooperative and their involvement in decision-making processes. We believe that empowering women producers in the Rwanda coffee sector will lead to the strengthening of the economic and social conditions of farmers’ communities.
On the fertile western hills, where the settlers planted the first trees, the best coffee in Rwanda grows between 1800 and 2000 meters. The volcanic soil, the high altitudes, a cool climate and the non excessive rainfall play a fundamental role in the growth of the highest quality grains. A prized Bourbon variety, Arabica represents 95% of the trees grown in the country.
A coffee that tells the story of many women who carry out their business every day with passion and sacrifice. This is why Danesi supports the Rwandan cooperative Cocagi, part of the International Women Coffee Association (IWCA), whose goal is to recognize and strengthen the role of women in the international coffee supply chain.
